A learning organization: This is how you move forward

Your organization is learning. Your organization is developing skills and acquiring knowledge about digitization and new technologies. How do you take the next step? Discover it on this page.

Your organization is learning

You are in the second phase of digital transformation. Invest structural time in developing knowledge and skills so you can take advantage of the opportunities of digital transformation. This phase focuses on initiating the preconditions to realize digital ambitions: budget, the foundation of data and data management, organizational culture, and digital initiatives. Below you will find information that will help you move forward on the five components from the scan. Check the email you received with the results of the Digital Transformation Scan for the outcomes per component and click through to the information that is important to you.

Component 1: Strategy and budget

Start by formulating your digital ambitions. Make this a collaborative process by drafting it in meetings with broad representation from the organization. Give digital activities attention and make visible how they contribute to your organization's digital ambitions. Ensure that budget becomes available to execute digital projects by, among other things, exploring funds that are available for digital activities.

Component 2: Culture and competencies

Facilitate iterative and digital (collaborative) work for employees. Share initiatives or projects where this is already happening in your organization as an example for other employees. Encourage employees to acquire knowledge about digital transformation and technology through online research, reading books, listening to podcasts, or taking relevant training.

Component 3: Audience and value

Broaden your audience. Explore opportunities to offer products and services through external platforms and channels. You can gain inspiration by looking at how other organizations in the sector have done this and what added value they have gained from it.

Component 4: Data and technology

Audience data provides insight into your audience and opportunities. Work on organizing the basics of data, data management, and data architecture. Choose future-proof solutions and explore opportunities for collaboration within and outside the sector.

Component 5: Processes and structure

Investigate where services to visitors can (more) possibly take place online and initiate activities to achieve this. Use the knowledge you have gained about the audience of the future.
