These are just a few of the examples that presenter Anic van Damme (known from NOS op 3 and RTL-Z) and culture enthusiast Splinter Chabot discuss in ‘Culture Shift’. Together with experts from home and abroad, they explore in ten new episodes how these international successes translate into answers and inspiration for the Dutch cultural sector.

Digitization is urgently needed

Maaike Verberk, director of DEN: “It is now evident that digital innovations lead to positive boosts in the sector. Yet, today, it remains a significant challenge for many cultural institutions in our own country to embrace this. Meanwhile, traditional cultural audiences are aging, and younger generations are yearning for new and hybrid forms of culture. Change is therefore necessary.”
