Culture for the future
Together, we investigate how we can create artistic highlights with digital technologies. Offerings that connect with young and diverse audiences. The goal: sharing practical experiences that can be sustainably applied by various venues in the sector.
Physical, digital, and hybrid
Venues of the future sees opportunities in physical, digital, and hybrid formats. With the Innovatielabs project, we explore how the sector can embrace digital technologies to address challenges. Theaters, museums, and venues compete with immersive cultural forms, digital experiences, and games. The question is, how does our cultural sector continue to thrive?
Venues of the future explores opportunities for cultural venues and producers to adapt to this new reality. What does a more digital future mean for the creation, production, commissioning, and distribution of cultural experiences? And most importantly: what changes in the interaction with their audience.

Experimenting and developing
Experimenting and developing are central. Venues of the future does not seek to replace physical experiences but rather to complement them. A digital infrastructure that strengthens physical venues in their mission. We do this based on four questions: How does digital contribute to the dissemination of culture, with an active role for the audience? How can organizations use digital channels, formats, and platforms to reach new audiences? What resources, skills, and business models does a venue of the future require? In what way does technology create impact, interaction, and connection between remote audiences?
