For 25 years, DEN has been strengthening the digital agility of the cultural sector. We identify trends and translate them into knowledge, tools, projects, and training that help organizations look ahead and work audience-focused. One thing always remains central: the power of culture, by and for everyone. Together with you, we work on this.
What will you do?
As an advisor, you combine a hands-on approach with substantive expertise in digital innovation, digital business models, and future exploration. You collaborate with advisors, trainers, and researchers on projects, knowledge products, and events that help cultural organizations remain agile and respond to changing audiences and audience behavior. Your responsibilities include:
- Identifying and analyzing developments regarding the audience of the future and changing forms of cultural experiences;
- Exploring and dissecting digital business models that contribute to sustainable, public, and shared value in the cultural sector;
- Initiating sector-wide explorations and knowledge trajectories around immersive technology (such as XR, interactive installations, and digital storytelling);
- Designing workshops and training sessions to help the field grow in digital transformation in an accessible and relevant way;
- Writing articles and developing tools and other knowledge products for the sector;
- Collaborating with other advisors on programs that strengthen the digital maturity of the cultural sector.
In this role, you will have plenty of room to learn, experiment, and contribute to building the digital future of culture.
What do you bring?
You get energy from translating digital developments into practical value for the entire cultural sector. You can switch between strategy and execution and know how to clearly convey complex matters. Additionally, you identify with:
- Work experience as a business or IT consultant, organizational advisor, or in a similar role is a plus;
- You feel comfortable working at an overarching and abstract level: you don’t advise one organization in-depth but help an entire sector move forward with insights, frameworks, and action perspectives;
- You know how to translate strategic issues into concrete, manageable steps;
- Insight into digital business models for culture, audience development, and digital and immersive applications;
- Experience in designing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and events;
- Experience in writing articles and developing tools or knowledge products;
- Interest in digital applications within the cultural sector, such as online audience experiences, digital collections, social media, immersive media, and more;
- Higher vocational/academic work and thinking level, acquired through education or work experience, and the curiosity to continue developing.

What do we offer you?
- Salary between €4,500 and €5,750 (based on 40 hours CAO-OI), depending on seniority and experience.
- Balance between work and private life: we offer 338 leave hours for a full-time position. That’s no less than 8.5 weeks of vacation per year.
- In addition to the vacation allowance of 8%, an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, and an excellent pension scheme.
- At least 3.5% of the salary sum is reserved for job-specific & personal training and development within DEN.
- A warm, open work culture in an engaged, growing team of about 25 colleagues.
- A great vitality plan, including an annual health contribution and joint activities (such as CityPierCity and a monthly stroll)
- And of course: the now legendary (vegan) summer barbecue and end-of-year pub quiz. We also occasionally take each other to our favorite exhibitions, concerts etc.
