Maaike Verberk is the director of DEN. She uses her experience and network to inspire professionals in the cultural sector toward digital leadership and encourages organizations to adopt a strategic approach to digital innovation.

About Maaike

Maaike has held leadership and policy positions in various areas of the cultural sector. Within DEN, Maaike is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization-wide strategy. With her business and supervisory knowledge and experience, she is an expert in the field of digital leadership, digital strategy, and the way digital transformation is addressed at a supervisory level in the cultural sector.

Maaike has completed the Strategic Foresight program. She promotes the method of future exploration in the sector and uses it within DEN to identify and interpret trends and technologies. Additionally, Maaike is also a trainer for several strategic programs of the DEN Academy.

Other activities: Maaike is a member of the Expert Group for the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage (CEDCHE) of the European Commission and Chair of the Taskforce Collaboration on Audience Data. Maaike is also the treasurer on the board of November Music (Den Bosch).
