Vacancy: Senior Project Advisor for the Cultural Sector

At DEN, we identify digital trends, support innovation, develop knowledge, and offer this in tools and training. You will work on translating this for the cultural sector, so the sector can immediately start developing a digital strategy and be prepared for the audience of the future.

Despite all (digital) changes, one thing remains steadfast: the power of culture, by everyone and for everyone. We are committed to this, together with you.

Dive into the cultural field as a senior project advisor, activate your digital antennae, connect networks, and develop projects that contribute to the growth of an innovative cultural sector.

What will you do?

  • You know how to translate digital challenges within cultural organizations into innovative projects that inspire the cultural sector, encourage the adoption of a digital strategy, and advance the sector.
  • DEN sees opportunities in knowledge sharing and collaboration through networks, trade associations, and umbrella organizations in the region. You identify possibilities for such collaborations and shape them programmatically.
  • You develop workshops, content, training, and other suitable means to share knowledge about digital transformation with the field. You initiate and promote a regional approach and collaboration with trade and umbrella organizations.
  • With your network within the cultural sector and beyond (e.g., government, gaming industry, creative industry, education, etc.), you contribute to strengthening the ecosystem around digital innovations in the cultural sector. You establish and maintain contacts for this purpose.
  • You are part of a team of skilled project advisors. Naturally, the advisors share their knowledge and expertise with each other and each other's projects.

What do you bring?

  • You can translate complex matters and new developments into concrete initiatives, products, and services, such as knowledge sessions, learning models, or innovation projects.
  • Broad knowledge of strategic stakeholder management and political sensitivity, important in a complex power dynamic.
  • To effectively convey your knowledge, you have presentation skills and experience.
  • Extensive experience in project or program management and change processes.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating events and training/workshops, for example, on digital strategy, marketing, or innovative technologies.
  • Experience in one of the following areas is a plus:
Digital innovation & transformation; ICT trends and developments; audience data; audience reach and education; change management; data-driven work.
  • You have the drive and decisiveness to connect people and organizations and establish strategic partnerships.
  • You communicate easily at both policy and operational levels, inspiring and involving people in digital strategy formation.
  • Affinity with technology and trends within the cultural world (think of digital exhibitions, online content, social media, etc.).
  • Academic working and thinking level.

What do we offer you?

  • A starting salary between €4000 and €5800. Education & experience are valuable to us. Do you bring more? We will consider that in your salary scale! (we follow the CAO-OI)
  • A varied position for 32-40 hours per week.
  • Balance between work and private life: we offer nearly 8.5 weeks of leave annually with a full-time contract.
  • A 12-month contract, with the intention to continue working together on a permanent basis afterward.
  • A holiday allowance of 8%, year-end bonus of 8.33%, travel allowance, and a good pension scheme.
  • Ample opportunities for personal and role-specific development.
  • An enthusiastic and growing team, working together in an engaged and committed way.
  • And let's not forget our already legendary (vegan) summer barbecue and Christmas pub quiz. We also occasionally take each other to our favorite exhibitions, concerts, and plays.

How do we proceed?

  1. Digital first introduction

  2. Meeting at the office with direct colleagues and our director Maaike

  3. A case assessment

  4. Contract offer

We find it important that our team is as diverse as the audience of the future. Are you the talent we are looking for?
