This is how you arrange the rights for an online performance

For many performing arts institutions and producers, it applies that they would also like to make their productions available online. But yes, ‘the rights…’, is often the response.

At Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA), they have a lot of experience with making their performances available online. Arranging the rights – both for the physical and the digital performance – is indeed a time-consuming task, but that shouldn't stop you from sharing your performance online.

In this video, Timur Topuz, contracts manager at ITA, explains how they handle arranging the rights at ITA. He explains which types of rights holders you will deal with and how they approach making agreements at ITA. As a cherry on top, Timur also gives you three handy tips to properly arrange your rights. His main message: arranging rights takes time, but don't let that discourage you.
