Component 1: Strategy and Budget

Prioritize digital marketing as a strategic topic to reach more and new audiences. Also, consider which societal values could be part of your strategy. Define the prerequisites for digital initiatives and evaluate new initiatives against them. Use the lessons learned from digital initiatives to test your vision and strategy: are online and offline fully integrated, and is the audience fully central? Do the cost outcomes of digital initiatives align with our forecasts?

Component 2: Culture and Competencies

Ensure that an innovative organizational culture becomes the standard for employees. This includes iterative working, space for developing new ideas, collaboration, experimentation, and open communication. Encourage knowledge sharing within the organization.

Component 3: Audience and Value

Ensure that the outcomes of digital activities are usable and applicable organization-wide. This stimulates data-driven working. For example, the result could be that a creative process takes a different direction based on visitor data. Evaluate the use of new online channels for your products and services and use the lessons learned in plans for further development.

Component 4: Data and Technology

The world is constantly changing; it is important to remain aware of new developments. Continue bringing knowledge about technology and digital transformation from the outside in through (new) partnerships, both within and outside the sector. Use this new knowledge to experiment and encourage employees to form new ideas.
